I feel that art is a very important subject for children to learn, but it is something that is being cut from schools all over the nation. I want to incorporate a lot of art in my classroom and this is something that I would definitely use in my classroom. Learning to analyze and talk about art work is very beneficial and it is something that can be taken and used in other curriculum as well. Learning to analyze and think critically can also be used in many other subjects, such as math, science and language arts.

One drawback to using this may be that taking time with the arts may cut out critical time for other subjects. Although I feel that art is very important, I also know that the other subjects and core curriculum are essential to the students.

My future plans for this series is to make more vid-casts talking about this other core in this subject. Some of those include talking about the time period in which the art was done, learning to express thoughts about the art work and talking about personal experiences that may have influenced the art work.
